Our People

MSNZ is made up of a dedicated team of staff, volunteers, and leaders who are committed to supporting people impacted by multiple sclerosis (MS) across Aotearoa New Zealand. Our people are at the heart of everything we do, ensuring that our mission is carried out with passion, professionalism, and care.

Staff

The MSNZ staff team works tirelessly to deliver national leadership, advocacy, information, and support. Their roles include managing communications, fundraising, operations, and providing resources to our regional societies and the wider MS community. Staff members collaborate closely with the National Executive Committee and our network of regional societies to ensure the best possible outcomes for people living with MS.

Emerging Committee Members

Following the success of our inaugural Emerging Committee Members, we’re committed to ensuring the voices of younger people with lived MS experience help guide our national direction.

We’re seeking two passionate young voices to join our National Executive Committee for a transformative two-year governance experience.

Volunteers

Volunteers are the heart of our organisation. From lending a hand at events and fundraising appeals to supporting office work or sharing your expertise, every contribution counts.

Whether you have a few hours or can make a regular commitment, we welcome your support. 

If you have professional skills-whether in business, IT, marketing, or another area-to help us grow and innovate, or would simply like to give your time and support we look forward to hearing from you.

Ambassadors

Ambassadors are individuals who help raise awareness of MS, share their stories, and champion the needs of people living with MS. Ambassadors may include people with lived experience, family members, or well-known supporters who help to amplify our message and advocate for positive change.

Ambassadors play a crucial role in:

  • Raising awareness of MS and the work of MSNZ
  • Sharing personal stories to inspire and inform others
  • Supporting fundraising and advocacy efforts
  • Representing MSNZ at events and in the media
