The Rotary Club of Half Moon Bay’s charity rally ‘Bangers to Bluff’ started on 17th March in Auckland, and we are thrilled to be chosen as the masthead charity. The rally consists of 18 teams who are currently in Wanaka in the South Island, having a well deserved rest day. They have journeyed on ‘roads less travelled’ through Rotorua, Dannevirke and Hanmer, to name a few. Along their journey they engage with numerous MS regional societies for lunches, presentations and evening meals, all to raise awareness and funds for people affected by multiple sclerosis in Aotearoa.
The rally will soon make it to Bluff and then head to Invercargill for the famous auction supported by MS Southland. Alongside auctioning off most of the ‘bangers’ there are multiple other auction items including an $850 voucher from Panasonic to spend on their discounted family and friends priced items, a $1200 Hydrosense System and Mattress Pad from iCare Medical, a ferry journey for 2 to Stewart Island from Real NZ, 2 nights accommodation at WQ Wellington and a My Food Bag package all thanks to our generous sponsors. MS Southland’s infamous black sack items will also be up for grabs again – these are full of goodies and definitely not one to miss.
