About Multiple Sclerosis NZ
We deliver national advocacy, information, education services, and awareness raising for MS, a condition affecting over 5,000 New Zealanders and their whānau. We support 18 regional member societies to deliver community-based services across Aotearoa. We’re a growing organisation in an exciting era of development, on the pathway to advocate for service excellence for those affected by MS.
What You’ll Bring
- Administrative skills and experience with a genuine love for keeping systems running efficiently
- A can-do, supportive attitude and willingness to get stuck in wherever needed
- Exceptional communication skills with confidence to be the central contact point via phone and email
- Efficiency and organisational skills with strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated team player who can work independently at home and collaboratively with remote colleagues
- Tech proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Xero, and CRM systems, or a willingness and ability to learn
The Role
As our Administration Coordinator, you’ll be the central support person enabling our team to deliver on our strategic mission. Your diverse responsibilities include:
- Daily administration: Manage the 0800 phone line and email enquiries, maintain records, coordinate resource distribution, take minutes, and keep systems running efficiently
- Finance support: Process invoices payable and receivable on Xero, reconcile payments, receipt donations, and maintain fundraising systems
- Communications and fundraising: Support our Communications and Fundraising Leads with e-newsletters, website updates, social media content, awareness campaigns, and fundraising activities
- Event logistics: Support the organisation of meetings and events throughout the year, including booking travel and accommodation
- Office Admin: Clear the post box and send out resources (these tasks require someone Christchurch based)
