Welcome to our September 2026 edition of MS Voice, your go-to place for the latest news, updates and real life stories from Multiple Sclerosis New Zealand.

In this edition of MS Voice we cover MS Awareness Week for 2026 and share with you how you can participate. We also provide the first look at our new MS Appointment Discussion Guide and share with you the Government’s Mahi Aroha Carers’ Strategy Action Plan, their commitment to better recognise and support carers.

We also invite you to participate in the 2027 Ride for MS, an amazing opportunity for Northland adventure while raising vital funds for MS.

As our ongoing feature topic ‘Your Healthcare Team’ continues, we introduce you to Lauren Flook, an Occupational Therapist who is the Health and Wellbeing Lead at Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s Canterbury. She shares with us what her role involves and how they fit within the healthcare team.

Finally, you have the chance to win a $250 Prezzy Card or $50 Sanitarium voucher by adding your voice to our Wall of Hope.
