Auckland Disability Law upcoming education zoom sessions

Are you unsure how to navigate disability disclosure whilst job seeking? Or perhaps you need to know what constitutes as a reasonable accommodation to your workplace? Auckland Disability Law (ADL) are hosting the following webinars that will provide you with the necessary information you need.

 

Disability Disclosure and the Law

This free Auckland Disability Law legal education session is a great opportunity to learn more about talking about your disability with employers when job seeking.  The Zoom session is designed for Disabled and Deaf People and supporters.

Disability Disclosure and the Law is an introductory session. The aim of the session is to significantly unpack the law around disability disclosure when job seeking so it is easy to understand.

  • How do I get people I trust to support me in my decision making?
  • What happens if I can’t make all of my own decisions?

How to register

To register give ADL your name, email address, contact phone number, where you live, date and name of the sessions you want to attend.  Please email info@adl.org.nz, or text 027 457 5140, or call 09 257 5140 and leave a message.

 

Zoom and Access Needs

  • These sessions will be delivered by video call on Zoom. You can access Zoom on your mobile phone, tablet, or computer. When you register, more information will be sent to you about how to use Zoom.
  • There will be a handout for these sessions. Handouts will be sent to you ahead of the session.
  • Please let ADL know if you require Word documents for your Braille reader or device.
  • If you require NZSL interpreters, please advise ADL as soon as possible.
  • You are welcome to have a support person or family member with you at the session. Please provide their name, number and email address too.
