2022 Community Support Worker Training Conference

July 12, 2022 | Education, Event, Training

We were delighted our annual Community Support Worker training was able to go ahead in Christchurch last month. Being able to get together in the same venue, share resources and learn how we can best support people with MS here in New Zealand, and their families, is such a valuable and team building exercise. 19 Community Support Workers from regional societies across the country were in attendance as well as the MSNZ team.

We are deeply grateful to our sponsors and guest speakers, without which we would not be able to hold these events.  We were pleased to secure funds to cover most of the meeting, travel and accommodation costs of our attendees. Thank you to Roche, Biogen and Novartis for your ongoing support of the educational needs of MS Community Support Workers.

To our very informative and engaging presenters, thank you for sharing your knowledge and experiences with us.  MHERC, Dr. Hamish Campbell (MS Australia), Blake Acklin (MSNZ Fundraiser), Karra Elhoff  (The Chronic Pain Couple).

And a final thank you to the exhibitors that came to demonstrate their range of equipment and aids. Getting some hands on experience with these items really helps us to gain a deeper understanding on how they are best used. HT Systems, Morton & Perry, Speedy Snail Mobility, Permobil.
